VIPO – Injured Police Officers

The Violently Injured Police Officers (V.I.P.O.) Organization, a recognized non-profit 501(c)(3), provides peer support to law enforcement officers who have sustained serious, permanent injuries or had to use deadly force in the line of duty.

Founded by Massachusetts police officers, V.I.P.O. offers mental health resources, information about available benefits, and assistance to police departments in establishing policies and protocols for line-of-duty incidents.

The organization also educates the public, police departments, and organizations about the unique challenges facing injured law enforcement officers, and they work with lawmakers to pass legislation providing benefits for injured officers forced to retire.
